What this role involves
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring CNAs to support our patients' recovery journey in Birmingham, AL. Our rehab CNAs work alongside therapists and nurses to help patients regain functional independence after stroke, injury or surgery.
What you will do:
• Assist patients with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming
• Help patients transfer safely using gait belts and mechanical lifts
• Accompany patients to therapy sessions and support their participation
• Monitor and record vital signs and intake/output
• Provide encouragement and emotional support throughout rehabilitation
